KIA ORA! HOLA! 你好吗 ! HEY HOMIES!
WELCOME to the 6th TILT ⚡️
What's frothing our matcha this week is the news about Coinbase's S1 filing for IPO later this year. This is gonna be big. Waiting with some baited, blockchain breaths on how this turns out.
What we're also mightily surprised by the Texas Governor Greg Abbott announcing today that Texas is 100% open, revoking its statewide mask mandate.
Nada más 😷 cubrebocas!
THIS WEEK’S EPISODE:
Ep 12 - Appreciation for Automation: Talking Kiwibots with Felipe Chavez 🤖
If you've never thought a lot about LMD tech - aka Last Mile Delivery, fear not. We got you. This week we hit the bot brigade hard with a fascinating look into the world of autonomous robots and how bright the future looks with cute Kiwibots involved. Yes, there IS a company called Kiwibot! Which hilariously may have absolutely no affiliation with New Zealand... 🤣 This is a whole story in and of itself which we divulge on the pod.
We talk to founder of Kiwibot, Colombian raised and now San Francisco-based, Felipe Chávez. Felipe chats to us from Medellin, Colombia where part of his company's decentralized tech team is based. Felipe shares his passion for the #botlife, and his vision of a world where last mile delivery is not only super efficient (net zero emission bots FTW), but also anthropologically conscious and integrated into cities in a mindful, harmonious way.
Hopefully you're as long on bots as we are by the end of the episode. If nothing else, the homage paid to NZ's little national bird is something that the Kiwibot team deserves some serious cred for!
No doubt you will be very enticed to check out just how adorable these Kiwibots are... and figure out if this is how you'd like your pizza or PPE delivered to your doorstep going forward 😉
“Another side of the vision is to build the largest robotic fleet out there. To do that we have to make sure people actually accept the robots. They have to be in harmony with people's lives." - Felipe Chávez

RECAP:
I think we can agree last week's episode on Cannabis Tech with Brett Fink was dope…Turns out Brett’s #NOTPOT campaign has continued to heat up since the desert shenanigans that went down in the desert outside of LA following our episode interview with him. The group's latest social drop involves a sweet hot air balloon, cause would it be a weed-related video without some legit steam being let off? Check out their TikTok.
Behind the steam, Daft Punk (🙏 ), the TikTok hype game, there is a powerful mission and deeply needed fund that NOTPOT created: the Not Pot Bail Fund, a self-funded organization designed to combat mass incarceration. Through their network of partners, they help pay for someone’s bail every month: a tangible act of resistance against criminal injustice. We’re stoked to see this team working towards a future where policies are led by compassion and health instead of social or political agendas.
MINDFULNESS 🧠 HACK OF THE WEEK:
Let’s keep it simple this week.
Just notice your breath.
Watch your breath without manipulating it in any way. The most advanced forms of pranayama (breathwork) are breath awareness, not control.
Try to relinquish control of the breath and let it happen to you.
Life breathes us.
🌷
We like to set a timer at irregular intervals throughout the day for a brief moment of mindfulness. Maybe you will too!
WHAT WE'RE LISTENING 🎶 TO:

COMING UP…
Who's been tracking what's going down in Myanmar right now?
Well, if you're not its time to look up, and take heed of the uprising there, and the on the ground local reactions in terms of how citizens are activating. We'll be diving in for an exclusive interview with the founder of an app, Bridgefy, that has recently exploded in usage with the emergence of global crises where a lack of government censorship is absolutely desired.
The landscape of messaging specific apps is super fragmented (who else flicks between about 6 apps on a daily basis?!) and we're going to dig into the product journey of Bridgefy that started with a more simple intention of connecting fans in a football stadium, and is fast becoming a critical tech tool, from Black Lives Matter protests to Myanmar conflict and beyond.
