Over the Rainbow to the Ethereum lands we go
with Jackson Dame: a beacon of light for the Web3 community
In Ep 30 of the pod, we had a conversation with the utterly delightful Jackson Dame. Jackson leads content and community at Rainbow: a leading Ethereum wallet. Since diving into the web3 world this year, Jackson has gone deep into the Ethereum ecosystem and is now a welcoming, beacon of light helping folks onboard into the ecosystem. Our conversation spans Jackson's journey of leaving their web2 world, for the sparklier lights of web3, being their true authentic self as a voice of Rainbow, and what directions this crypto wallet mission is going in.

Jackson is standout community member and builder in the web3/ Ethereum ecosystems. Since diving into the space at the start of the year, Jackson has taken it in his stride to be as helpful as can be in aiding others on their journey into the web3 ecosystem. As content and community lead for Rainbow, for many folks, Jackson is consistently a golden pot of helpful knowledge and kindness at the beginning of the rainbow colored path into web3.

ST: How do you see the integration of NFTs into Rainbow and how important is that?
JD: It's very important because, and this is my opinion, not Rainbow’s (but I definitely think they would agree with me).
I think that NFTs are going to be the thing that brings mass adoption to the technology of blockchain.
While decentralized finance and all that stuff is really great, I think it's going to be definitely a big piece of the big puzzle. I think that most people can relate more to the ways NFTs can be used than they will to decentralized finance.
I think for the most part, people aren't really that interested in finance and don't want to like really spend a lot of time in that world. But I do think that pretty much everyone touches games or media or entertainment or music and art. And there's so many entry points that NFTs can grab someone from.
And I think one of the next, big things we are planning on doing in that world is upgrading the app to having a lot more social components that tie into to NFTs. Like, there's just so many interesting ways that NFTs can have social utility.
